Unfortunately, German bureaucracy throws a wrench in their plans.
In Denmark, the laws governing civil marriage ceremonies and marriage itself are significantly simpler than in Germany. The waiting periods required in Germany simply don’t exist in Denmark.
It’s even possible for a couple on vacation—provided they have a European ID and meet the necessary requirements - to get married overnight.

Often, the waiting period to get married in Denmark is only a few days, provided that the required documents are submitted by us in a timely manner and accepted.
If you’re one of those couples who are in a particular hurry to get married, or if you’re a couple with a large age difference, Georgia is a very good alternative. Couples who have known each other for only a few months are either invited to an interview or rejected by the Danish Family Law Agency. This option can also help couples who are having difficulty obtaining Schengen visas.

Our wedding package for an express wedding includes the following services:
- Express processing, wedding date scheduled within 7–10 business days of receiving the Danish marriage license
- Comprehensive consultation, a no-obligation review of your documents, and our honest and expert feedback
- Includes a fee of 285 euros payable to the Danish Family Law Agency,
- submission of the application to the Danish Family Law Agency by our agency, communication with the Danish Family Law Agency, and approval of your marriage
- Your wedding date at a Danish town hall, as arranged with the bride and groom
- 2 witnesses, if necessary
- 2 international marriage certificates, issued immediately after the wedding ceremony in multiple languages (English, German, Danish, Spanish, and French); other languages available upon request
- Includes 19% German VAT

- Apostille (translation and certification of the Danish marriage certificate)
